About me

Hi, I’m Warren Sparkes — illustrator, designer, and creator of The Buffwug children’s book series and the Find It 23 puzzle games. Drawing has always been my hobby and my passion. Ever since I was young, I’ve loved picking up a pen and paper to sketch characters, creatures, and scenes from my imagination and often referencing characters to expand my creative knowledge. It was a natural way for me to express ideas and explore storytelling visually.

I studied art and design at college, where I learned the foundations of composition, color, and creative thinking. But it wasn’t until later in life that I discovered digital art — and that’s when my creative journey truly evolved. Understanding how to use layers, brushes, and digital tools sparked a deeper interest in illustration and opened up new possibilities for my work.

Today, my go-to style is cartoonist — playful, expressive, and character-driven. I love creating illustrations that connect with children and families, whether it’s through whimsical book pages or interactive puzzle games. At the same time, I enjoy the technical side of design work: refining layouts, optimizing visuals, and making sure every piece is polished and purposeful.
